I would love if they did to Cullen the same they did to Anders. Warp the character, make him over zealous to the Chantry, and whiney. Then make him a romance. I could see the rage in the eyes of the fangirls right now.

:squee: If they're going to stick Cullen in DA3 then I hope they do it this way. Although I don't know how they could make him more whiny. He was only appealing for half a minute in the mage origin, now he's just a tad annoying and I'm tired of dealing with him. I don't know how he can have so many fangirls.

If Cullen is a romance option in Dragon Age 3... All achievements for romancing all companions across all playthroughs will be forgone, and EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of my characters will romance Cullen (since I tend to play through every version of the characters).
